Open LGU Research published three new videos

The Open LGU Research project recently uploaded in its youtube channel a new set of videos which is part of the "Insights from the Field" series. The videos document what people think about open data initiatives at the local to inform future policy and work on open data and open government at the subnational level in the Philippines and elsewhere across the developing world.

Three videos have just been added and these come from three local leaders.

Atty. John Titus Vistal, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator of Bohol province in the Philippines, underscores the importance of opening data to the public in ensuring a democratic society.

Regina Estorba-Macalandag of the Asia Center for Sustainable Future talks about the importance of open data in ensuring transparent and accountable governance and why citizens should engage with open government data.

Finally, Salome Miculob, president of Mangool Mother's Association in Baclayon, Bohol talks about the types of information that citizens like her and her group members need from government.  Ms. Miculob talks about disaster risk reduction information and availability of government assistance as their priority information needs.
